In spite of the Social Security and General Health Insurance (GSS) bill was accepted from the Parliamentary General Council, demonstrations against the bill are continuing. The French youth and workers struggle against the CPE bill guides the Turkish workers and laborers. When the bill was being discussed in Ankara, in 18 April, workers and laborers who made demos against GSS in almost all cities of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan, were in front of the parliament. The laborers, who made a sitting-in with the demand of ‘GSS will not be accepted in the parliament', wanted to reach recognition of the referendum results. The laborers had voted the bill throughout whole Turkey and in the referendum result 2.228.592 people had voted with ‘NO'. The anger against the government, which passed the bill - refused in the public referendum by 99,4 percent of the votes- through theGeneral Council of parliament, is growing.

The Socialist Platform of the Oppresseds ( ESP ), made various actions against the Antiterror bill and the GSS bill at different times and in many cities of Turkey and N. Kurdistan as in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Izmit, Adana, Mersin, Kayseri, Antep, Eskisehir and Malatya. In addition, in its intensive mobilisatioon work for May day, ESP invites the workers to come to the May Day meetings against these law drafts.
