On 9 November 2005, the counter- guerrilla organisation JITEM (Gendarme Intelligence Organisation) has bombed a bookstore in Semdinli town of Northern Kurdistan. A Kurdish patriot lost his life and two were wounded. Witnessing 17 of such provocation and massacres of the colonialist fascist regime in the last two months, Semdinli people this time have caught the bomber members of JITEM by a great commitment and heroism. They handed over three people, two soldiers wearing plainclothes and one traitor. By a great political alertness, sensitivity and initiative, they did not kill those murderers who deserved to be killed, but handed over them together with proofs of weapons, plans of attack and list of patriotic people to be killed by these counter-guerrilla members to their owners, i.e. to the hands of the state. And now the bomb exploded in the hands of the state. The state is in a hurry furiously to cover up the incident. Such that the state prosecutor, who was interrogating the attack carried out by the counter-guerrilla elements and making investigation at the scene where the incident took place, the MP Esat Canan and the people there at that moment, were shot. Another patriot is also killed there.

The incident in Semdinli is discussed as being the "Second Susurluk" among the public opinion of Turkey. Susurluk incident is a name given to the traffic accident that brought to open the organic relations among Mafia-State-Politics trinity on 3 November 1996. That is to say that Susurluk meant the fascist regime's dirty and dark network and organisational relations.

The proofs and perpetrators of counter-guerrilla provocation and massacres that are concentrated in the Yuksekove-Semdinli-Hakkari triangle have been brought to clear together with their commanders. This, however, has come to clear not only by the caught members of JITEM, weapons, sketches and the list of people to be killed, but also by the statements of those who give them the orders. Their commander is the Turkish General Staff of Army. The possible Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish bourgeois army in the future, Y. Buyukanit, has confessed giving commands to and having partnership with one of the perpetrators by saying "Ali Kaya is a good child, he will not commit a crime". He, as early as in spring, stated that the PKK forces have entered into Turkey from Northern Iraq, brought huge amounts of C-4 explosives and will carry out actions with those explosives. And recently, in the event of each capture, they shared with the public surprisingly also the capture of C-4 explosives in huge amounts. The same General, who got caught in Semdinli incident, wants to put responsibility of the counter-guerrilla actions on PKK and prevent interrogation by saying "everywhere is full of explosives" in a newspaper.

The counter-guerrilla action carried out in Semdinli is neither an action of the "state in the state" nor an action of a group within the state. It is neither a local action nor an action by chance. On the contrary, it is a reflection of counter-attacks, of which the fascist regime is historically recidivist with, and the policies of denial and annihilation.

Semdinli incident is a part of the concept of total offence that started with chauvinist hysteria against the Kurdish people and Turkish revolutionaries during 21 March 2005 Newroz demonstration in Mersin and continued with lynch attempts in Trabzon, Gemlik, Rize and other cities.

Counter-actions aim at to suppress, dismay with threat and intimidation the Kurdish people and revolutionary movement, and to disable their struggling dynamics; to break organic connection between the Kurdish masses and the guerrilla. They are increasing the reactionary-fascist repression on the social opposition through dirty psychological war supported by the media. These attacks are being tried to be legalised by newly introduced Turkish Penalty Code, Penalty Execution Code and Anti-terror Law.

The ruling classes are scared with the Kurdish people's resistance until the death, their development of a militant mass movement and uprisings through illegal demonstrations; their walk up towards the killers and tanks, participation of ten-thousands in the funerals; and continuing widespread actions of progressive and revolutionary forces in the West. This fear is once more seen in the speeches, promises and threats of the Prime Minister, T. Erdogan during his abrupt and uninformed visit to Hakkari and Semdinli.

Okay, but which political conditions or developments brought the explosion of counter-guerrilla bomb in the bookstore and at the hands of the state?

There is no doubt that the political conditions cannot be dealt without considering the USA's occupation in Iraq, the "Kurdish question" in the Middle East and Turkey and the contradictions and clashes among the cliques of Turkish ruling classes.

The USA's occupation in Iraq has also brought together with itself the new relations of power and balances, creation of new alliances and tendencies, various wills and movements on the political, national and religious bases in Irak and the Middle East. The formation of a federation or a "State" in Southern Kurdistan (Iraqi Kurdistan) under USA's umbrella; the visits of Barzani to the USA, Britain, Italy etc. and his statements, Talabani`s presidency in Iraq and other developments are important developments not only in Iraq but also in the Middle East and the other three parts of Kurdistan. All these achieved developments on the national, political, economic and cultural spheres are being attractive for all Kurds in the region. These developments correspond a historical turnout in the national demands and feelings, eyes and consciousness of the Kurds. And Kurdish people in Northern Kurdistan have become free through their struggle conducted in the last 25 years and developed their national awakening, revival and consciousness of action and organisation. We can say that Kurdish people in the Middle East have entered into a no-turning process with its national consciousness, will, action and demands. This is also seen by the USA, EU, Iran, Syria and colonialist Turkish regime. But the "red lines" of the Turkish bourgeois state have been disappeared. Because of the occupant USA military force in Iraq, it is no more able to interfere within Southern Kurdistan.

The process in Iraq advances towards formation of three states (Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish).

The most loyal collaborators of the USA in Iraq are the KDP (Democratic Party of Kurdistan) and KYB (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan). The USA thinks that it can implement its strategic policies, plans and aggression towards Syria and Iran by leaning on to the Kurdish population through these parties and practice BOP (Greater Middle East Project) in such way. It, therefore, is in "strategic collaboration" with KDP and KYB in the region.

The colonialist Turkish regime sees the signals of a separation and disaffiliation in direction towards the United Kurdistan. It thinks the primary solution is to apply traditional policies of annihilation and denial those left by the ancestors when not being able to practice new policies and tendencies regarding the national and democratic demands of the people of Northern Kurdistan. And then it brings the unlawful, dirty and dark relations, methods and actions into the agenda.

In the mean time it has agreed with the USA and EU on the subject of solving the Kurdish question "without PKK and A. Ocalan". The USA and EU want development of a political line like the KDP also in Northern Kurdistan. Ambassadors of the USA openly express this to the Kurdish mayors and the directors of mass organisations. And the European Union is showing "PKK as the source of terror in Turkey" in the Turkey-EU progression report.

PKK and the Kurdish national movement also realises these developments and wants to benefit from the conjuncture. Therefore it has heightened its national and political demands that it had previously reduced to the level of "autonomy", "democratic Turkey": For example, it puts forward demands such as the Kurdish people's national and democratic rights, national identity to be covered by constitutional guaranty, the recognition of A. Ocalan as the national will, the federation and etc. Recently, Cemil Bayik, one of the leaders of PKK, called on Kurdish people "to march upon the state" by concerning the uprisings in Kurdish cities.

Turkey and N. Kurdistan experience days that are equivalent with the historical turnouts. In this process, important tasks are downing also to the revolutionary and communist movement: whilst the saying "A nation oppressing other nation will not be free either" points out the burning immediate task of the struggle for democracy and political freedoms, the history also points out to an internationalist struggle and solidarity in the real sense, to a united struggle together with the Kurdish people against the concept of offence in total.

MLCP conducts an active political struggle both by its independent actions and common actions together with the Kurdish patriotic movement against the provocation and massacres that developed in the form of lynching and counter-actions in the process of total concept of offence. It is in solidarity with the Kurdish people through its mass demonstrations, barricades and street fights, blocking motorways, and group or mass actions involving violence against the police and militarist forces and places in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, and in the Kurdish cities like Malatya und Antep.
