On the 157th day of the hunger strike initiated by Leyla Güven, demanding the abolishment of the isolation of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, the hunger strike continues in all prisons. The Marxist Leninist Communist Party (MLKP) and the MLKP / Communist Women's Organization (KKÖ) started an indefinite hunger strike with a second team of three prisoners.

Soner Çiçek from Malatya Closed Prison, Ercan Görtaş from Tekirdağ No.1 F-Type Prison and Hatice Duman from Bakırköy Women's Closed Prison started the second team of hunger strike on 10 April.

MLKP and MLKP / KKÖ prisoners Muhabbet Kurt, Hülya Gerçek, Ali Haydar Saygılı and Aydın Akyüz, have been continuing their indefinite hunger strike action since 1 March.
