Militia of the Communist Youth Organization (KGÖ) saluted the hunger strike protests in prisons and in different cities started by the DTK Co-Chair and HDP Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven, who continued the hunger strike resistance against the isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The militants of the KGÖ hung a banner in Istanbul with the words "Give voice to the hunger strike".

In the agitation speeches held on the streets, KGÖ militias called to raise the resistance of Leyla Güven and hundreds of patriotic prisoners against colonialism and the isolation of Öcalan. İn the speeches it was said, "as the state is afraid of the developing mass movement around it, they continue their attacks through police operations, trying to discredit the masses by chauvinism and nationalism, trying to curb the economic crisis and helplessness in the face of the hunger strike resistance. The actions of palace fascism to undermine the resistance and break our will never have success. The resistance continues to move forward, opening its own path. As Communist Youth we call the youth of Turkey and Kurdistan to unite around the resistance started by Leyla Güven. Let us smash the isolation all together!"
