Beginning from Basel on the 9th of February and from Mannheim on the 10th, hundreds of Kurds, revolutionaries and activists are marching towards Strasbourg/France against the isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Ocalan and Turkish state fascism.

This year's march is organized under 3 different arms.

The Basel arm, in which more than 150 political exiles, politicians, artists and representatives from different parties and organizations from Turkey and Kurdistan are taking part, will step around 150 km for 8 days. The march during the day will be followed by cultural activities as well as panels on isolation and the current political process in the evening.

The Mannheim arm on the other hand is composed of the youth from different countries, gathering 250 young representatives who will march about 160 kms for 7 days.

On the first day of the march, the local court in Baden-Württemberg has ordered a ban on some of the posters and banners carried by the participants of the march. Reportedly, images of Ocalan and Kurdish hunger strikers have been banned by the court. Despite the pressure from German authorities, the demonstrators continue their march towards Strasbourg.

The last part of the march, the Luxembourg arm has gathered more than hundred internationalist from Europe, South America and Asia, who will march about 160 km in 5 days. On the kick off statement, the internationalist emphasized the ongoing hunger strikes saying "We want all to know that the indefinite non-alternating hunger strikes led by Leyla Guven which have been spreading to the prisons in Turkey and Kurdistan, to Hewler, Strasbourg, Wales, Germany, the Netherlands and Austria, are part of our march. We shout out to the whole world that we will smash the isolation, tear down fascism and free Kurdistan."

The arms will meet in Strasbourg on the 15th of February, where a massive demonstration will be organized for the anniversary of the international conspiracy against Abdullah Ocalan.
