The first of the commemoration activities held in November each year in memory of the immortals was held in Brussels, Europe, with the slogan "We will defeat fascism and colonialism in the footsteps of our immortals". Families of martyrs participated to the commemoration, such as Murat Budak, father of Suruç martyr Vatan Budak, the sister of Ali Bugün Gülsüm Bugün, the relative of Türkan Yüksel, Elif Yüksel, and the father of Bengi Diren, Kazım Robar.

The commemoration started with one minute's silence and the participants sang the "International" anthem. A video was presented about the struggle and martyrs of the MLKP.
In a speech on behalf of the MLKP, it was stated that "Our Party has remained committed to its promises to the working class and the oppressed and to the ideals of our immortals. We are going through difficult times, difficult years. In all corners, hopelessness and unbelief are pumping the microbe, and despite all the oppression, ban and deception, millions of people are determined to vote for the HDP . We have to make a point of victory. The period is the period of courage." Furthermore the MLKP representative promised: "We take our immortals as a guide, we can overcome all obstacles as long as we adhere to their ideals, we can destroy the bloody reign of fascism and colonialism. What we will leave behind are these difficult days and years and the question, weather we kept our honor and our heads up. Brothers and sisters, let us hold our heads up. Let us defend our honor. We will not hesitate to pay any price for socialism. We call on you to strengthen our party in this struggle and to be a comrade to the immortals. Do not be a slave of the man and the family. Break the chains, break down the selfishness, outrun your borders, break down the walls of the capitalist system and male domination."
The families of martyrs who took part in the event came to the stage together. Murat Budak, one of the family members, first mentioned the story of his son Vatan, who went to Suruç. Father Budak said: "Our children, our comrades, memories of the struggle will remain. We will not bow our heads."
Former HDP MP Faisal Sarıyıldız also commemorated the immortalized revolutionaries during the event and greeted those who fought. In the speech given in the name of Secour Rouge, Yeliz Erbay, Ayşe Deniz Karacagil, Şevin Söğüt, Kutsiye Bozoklar and Ivana Hoffmann were commemorated.
