Women's Day celebrated in Turkey and Kurdistan

Thousands of women joined the traditional March of 8th demonstration in Istiklal street in Istanbul. Women carried banners and signs saying they will defeat the patriarchy and the male fascist state. They shouted the struggle for women's liberation and especially this year for the Efrin resistance.

Also thousands of women came together for the night demonstraions in Ankara, Eskişehir, İzmir, Antalya and Samsun. Women challenged the suppression of AKP government. Last weekend, press statements of women's organizations were attacked by the police in many cities, but they couldn't stop woen to go out to streets again.
