The meeting of the National Security Council ( MGK ) led by President Tayyip Erdoğan took place for the first time this year. In the subsequently published statement, an extension of the state of emergency for the government was recommended.

Without naming Afrin, the statement made the following threats: "We will not allow a Terror Corridor to be built right next to Turkey's borders. On the other hand, we will take every possible measure against the threat in West of Syria."

The weapon deliveries of the United States to the Kurdish freedom movement was also condemned, calling for a withdrawal of weapons.

With this statement, the dirty war propaganda against Afrin has intensified. This psychological preparation for an attack and occupation of Afrin in Rojava is accompanied by a military mobilization on the Turkish border.

The YPG in Afrin has already made all preparations against a war of aggression. The people of Afrin are in general mobilization. The commanders of the YPG claim Afrin will be the end of the AKP dictatorship.
